U.P. Mountaineers Basic Mountaineering Course (BMC)

This BMC Manual has been compiled by the U.P. Mountaineers from years of education and research. This is the training manual used in conjunction with the rigorous skills training for its prospective applicants. The BMC Manual is designed to help you make better decisions to minimize impact in outdoor pursuits and practices. It is intended to be a reference guide and should not be used as a substitute for proper and controlled training and expert advice.

Mountaineering, like all outdoor outdoor activities, require physical fitness. You should seek your doctor’s approval and consult more experienced individuals before you begin.
